#FITMKE Pizza

A thinner crust = a thinner you

healthy pizza from Streetza

People don’t typically think of pizza as a component of a healthy diet because it is high in total fat, saturated fat, sodium and calories. But it doesn’t need to be!

With the new year upon us and development of #fitmke, it was apparent that Milwaukee was looking for a healthy and delicious pizza. And,  “Sampling” our pizzas throughout the year resulted in a bit of weight gain for the owners of Streetza. Every year my New Year’s Resolution has been to lose weight / get into better shape. Every year I manage to lose 20-25 pounds, which seem to return by the end of the year. One of the biggest problems for me has been  the lack of available healthy, quick and cheap food options.

We started researching and creating the #fitmke pizza about 2 months ago. We looked at and tested different crust recipes, cheeses and toppings and have developed a line of pizza which contains a fraction of the calories and fat of regular pizza without sacrificing taste.

#fitmke pizza is made with a thinner crust than normal Streetza, and is topped with lots of Streetza sauce, (which is an excellent source of lycopenethe) extra spices, the freshest veggies: including tomatoes, onions, broccoli, spinach, olives, spinach, peppers and mushrooms. All of the #fitmke pizzas are topped with reduced fat  mozzarella cheese. We also discovered a delicious and healthy chicken sausage which means you’re not just limited to veggie pizzas.

The calorie/fat count for #fitmke streetza amazes even us. Who knew it would be possible to have something this delicious be this healthy. Each pizza slice is 1/6 of a 16″ pizza.

More than enough to satisfy your hunger. Here are the nutritional values and types of #fitmke pizza:

Spinach/Mushroom #fitmke Streetza – 155 calories / 5.1g fat per slice

BLT #fitmke Streetza (Turkey Bacon, Tomatoes, Iceburg Lettuce) – 170 calories / 6.1g fat per slice

Super Veggie #fitmke Streetza (Tomatoes, Onions, Broccoli, Spinach, Olives, Spinach, Peppers and Mushrooms)  – 175 calories / 5.3g fat per slice

Sausage/Mushroom/Red Pepper #fitmke Streetza – 230 calories / 6.5g fat per slice

Hawaiian #fitmke Streetza (Canadian Bacon, Pineapple, Red Onion) – 200 calories / 6.1g fat per slice

Mediterranean #fitmke Streetza (Shredded Chicken, Olives, Artichoke Hearts, Olives, Basil) – 230 calories / 6.4g fat per slice

Thai Chicken #fitmke Streetza (Peanut Butter Sauce, Chicken, Scallions, Ginger, Red Pepper)- 300 calories / 8g fat per slice

*Note, all of our #fitmke pizzas are made by hand, so calorie and fat count is approximate. (Within 5%. You may have an extra mushroom or two on your slice.) Just to compare… that slice of pizza you ate last weekend at the mall had about 820 calories and 32g of fat. A fast food 1/4 pound hamburger has about 560 calories and 30g of fat.

And here’s the best part, #fitmke Streetza is still only $3.75 per slice.

Or you can order a whole pie for a limited time for only $15. (But if you eat the whole pie, the whole lo-cal healthy thing is out the window.)

  1. The slice of spinach and mushroom I tried was incredible! The crust is nice and crisp. The veggies tasted fresh and the cheese was delicious. I wouldn’t have known it was “healthy” if you hadn’t told me! Round of applause for the FitMke Slice!

  2. LOVE IT! your sausage/mushroom/redpepper is made with chicken sausage, correct? my non-red meat diet is loving you right now! lol
